Project Description
The project focuses on initiating public-private partnership discussions in Ijevan, Armenia, with the goal of creating a sustainable environment for fostering innovative entrepreneurship in tourism, high-value agriculture, and food processing sectors.
Project Objectives
Action is aimed at launching PPP dialogue in Armenia's Ijevan city aimed at establishment of a sustainable ecosystem for development of innovative entrepreneurship in the domain of tourism, high value agriculture and food processing. In order to achieve this, a comprehensive approach targeting the following specific objectives is envisaged: launching operational PPP dialogue (lead by Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises) between sectoral business associations, business services providers, accelerators and local authorities aimed at emergence of conducive business environment; establishing two-layered ecosystem comprised of business accelerator and Armath engineering laboratories operating in the Ijevan (serving as community development hubs) for promotion of innovative entrepreneurship; increasing competitiveness of local MSMEs operating in the sectors of tourism, high value agriculture and food processing; advancing employment opportunities for women, youth and other representatives of vulnerable strata of population through training, retraining, work-based learning and nurturing of hard and soft skills.
