An assessment of the film post-production sector in Georgia, produced by the EU4Business project ‘SME Development and DCFTA in Georgia’. The study examines the context of the sector, conducts a mapping of the value chain, reviews available incentives and opportunities and provides recommendations for development of the sector.
The study finds that the film post-production sector may be able to improve its reputation and credibility with Georgian production firms if current market weaknesses and gaps are addressed. It recommends action to increase skills development opportunities and platforms across the sector, according to international standards, as well as a reduction in the tax burden.
