Project Description
The program seeks to improve financial access for micro-enterprises and SMEs in the country, funded by the European Commission and the Dutch Government. Named 'NASIRA,' it provides a loan portfolio guarantee to aid financial institutions in expanding lending to MSMEs, particularly targeting underserved segments like smallholder farmers and businesses owned by women and youth, who often struggle to secure financing due to higher credit risk and limited collateral or track record.
Project Objectives
To promote inclusive growth, job creation and sustainable development and in this way, tackle some of the root causes of irregular migration.
