The European Union (EU) is ready to assist Armenia in implementing economic policy reforms, says ambassador
The EU will assist Armenia in implementing the new government’s economic policy reforms, the Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalski, told the International Economic Congress on 20 October.
Experts and representatives of diplomatic missions gathered at the Congress to discuss factors hindering the development of Armenia's economy.
Referring to results of surveys conducted by the European Business Association (EBA), Mr Switalski underlined the priority issues that needed to be dealt with, including tax and customs legislations, tackling monopolies, ensuring transparency in state procurement procedures, and assuring the independence of the juridical system.
