New grants are now available to Armenian SMEs through the project ‘Support to SME Development in Armenia’ (SMEDA).
Co-financing is available in under two strands of SMEDA:
- Innovation Matching Grant (IMG).
Grants of €30 000-€50 000 - Science and Technology Entrepreneurship (STEP).
Grants of €15 000
Companies must be SMEs working in the technology sector (for example in engineering, Cleantech or Biotech), have been registered in Armenia for at least one year and be able to provide co-financing.
This is the first of a series of year-long grants that will be available to SMEs from 2017 to 2019.
The SMEDA project aims to increase employment and SME competitiveness in Armenia. It is part of the EU4Business and EU4Innovation Initiatives and is co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ PSD SC Regional Programme.
