The EU-funded project on ‘Boosting competitiveness of regional SMEs’ in Armenia is organising a series of training courses on career development and customer services and communication skills, aimed at the local workforce in the regions of Lori, Syunik and Armavir.
The targeted sectors of the project are food processing and tourism.
The courses will be launched from July 2018, and each course will last 9 hours, over 2-3 days.
By taking part in the courses, participants will improve their career management capabilities and will acquire skills that will increase their motivation, management and leadership abilities and skills, thus contributing to their employability.
Job seekers from the tourism industry will acquire technology knowledge and relevant practical skills in customer service and hospitality management.
The courses will be conducted by experienced professionals with highly interactive methods, including group discussions, role plays and case studies.
The courses in ‘Customer Development’ and ‘Customer services and communication skills’ will take place in each of the following cities: Vanadzor and Alaverdi (Lori region), Armavir (Armavir region), and Goris (Syunik region).

The EU4Business project ‘Boosting competitiveness of regional SMEs’ is implemented by the Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Centre of Armenia (SME DNC), Armavir Development Centre, Strategic Development Agency, Spitak-Farmer, and Syun NGOs. The overall objective of the project is to boost the competitiveness of regional SMEs and create sustainable employment opportunities in Lori, Syunik and Armavir regions of Armenia.
