€1,000,000: EU and Germany provide 100 grants of €10,000 each to Ukrainian enterprises

Under the EU4Business program, funded by the European Union and the German government, Ukrainian micro, small and medium-sized (MSME) with export potential and innovative capabilities can receive 100 grants of up to €10,000 each for recovery, development, and sustainability.

"Since the start of the full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine, the EU and Germany, together through the EU4Business program, have implemented five grant competitions, providing €5.5 million to over 1100 Ukrainian MSMEs. It is crucial to support MSMEs in times of war to increase their resilience, so that they can gradually recover and grow in the future. Every entrepreneur is important, and each individual enterprise helps the country by providing jobs, paying taxes and supporting the economy," commented Henrik Huitfeldt, Acting Head of Operations Section “Economic Cooperation, Energy, Infrastructure and Environment” of the EU Delegation to Ukraine.

"Supporting and stimulating the development of Ukrainian small and medium-sized businesses is extremely important nowadays, especially with the view that our country is at war. After all, it is a functioning business that keeps the economy running and allows us to provide for defense needs, which we finance at the expense of the taxes businesses pay. We are grateful to our partners for the grant support programs for entrepreneurs, especially those who work in the processing sector, manufacture products with high added value, as well as increase Ukraine's export potential," commented Nadiya Bihun, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

You can apply for a grant through this website from January 16 to February 11, 2024.

Invited to apply for a grant are MSMEs operating in the following sectors:

  • Processing (machine building, furniture, food, and light industry, etc.).
  • Creative industries.
  • Logistics and transportation.
  • Other sectors possessing export or innovation potential (e.g., educational, and medical services).

"Micro, small and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) are one of the key drivers of Ukraine's economic recovery. Our organization already has experience in grant support for entrepreneurs and sees a positive result in the development of MSMEs. We are grateful to the European Union and the German government for supporting Ukraine through the EU4Business program. Thanks to €1 million, 100 entrepreneurs will be able to develop export opportunities and work on entering other markets," said Dmytro Lyvch, Executive Director of EasyBusiness.
