Project Description
LEADER, an EU initiative introduced in 1991, employs a community-led approach to address rural area challenges. It aims to stimulate local economic growth, especially for micro and small businesses, with Local Action Groups (LAGs) playing a pivotal role in driving local development initiatives.
Project Objectives
The overarching goal of the Programme is to enhance the resilience and autonomy of Local Action Groups (LAGs) as self-sufficient and enduring alliances among local government, civil society, and private sector stakeholders. These groups collaboratively execute locally devised Development Strategies in a systematic manner within their respective regions.
