The Road Map is a strategic export potential development program for Ukrainian berries sector in 2019-2024, designed by the ITC experts and the Ukrainian Berries Association. The document identifies trade-related challenges, as well as opportunities for increased trade with the EU. It was advanced for three selected product groups within the berries sector: fresh, processing and organic berries that based on companies’ assessment, value chain analysis for these product groups, and sectoral institutional mapping.

The Road Map pursues the following objectives:

  • Strengthen the supply of Ukrainian berries
  • Strengthen Ukrainian institutions
  • Government strategic approach to support sector development

All activities under the Road Map are stipulated to be implemented by the Ukrainian government and state institutions, business support organizations and other designated actors.

This initiative will contribute to the strengthening of export capacity of Ukrainian SMEs – berries producers and processors.
